Land Management Business Resilience

This page brings together content related to our Land Management Business Resilience project (LaMB). The project aims to develop support for farmers and land managers in the East Midlands, to help them build their business resilience to severe weather and climate change. The project is funded by the Environment Agency and delivered in partnership with the Defra-funded Farming Advice Service.

The project is described in more detail here.

Additional resources will be made available as the project progresses. Currently the following resources are available:

  • Weathering the Storm - Saving and Making Money in a Changing Climate. A guide for farmers and land managers in the East Midlands.
  • A brief summary of key messages from the Soil Management workshops held in August 2013.
  • Notes from the business resilience discussions at the Soil Management workshops in August 2013.
  • Handout showing the Environment Agency's key actions for farmers (managing water, soils, nutrients, pesticides, and livestock in relation to watercourses). This information can also be found on the Environment Agency website.

The Environment Agency website hosts a range of interactive maps, including flood risk maps and "What's in Your Back Yard" (WIYBY) for farmers.
