National Adaptation Programme (NAP)
Following the publication of the first UK Climate Change Risk Assessment in January 2012, the next step is the development of the National Adaptation Programme (NAP), which will be led by Defra and published in 2013.
The National Adaptation Programme (NAP) will set out what policies and actions are needed to take action on the risks (and opportunities) from climate change. Defra aim to co-create this with involvement from all relevant stakeholders, and to ensure a strong local component.
A National Adaptation Programme progress check was published in July 2012, following discussions with businesses, local government and civil society, from which initial priorities have emerged. Download the progress update here.
