Local Authority adaptation action plans

Leicester City Council is slightly ahead of the other Local Authorities in the East Midlands, and already has an Adaptation Action Plan, which can be downloaded here.

The other Local Authorities in the East Midlands are currently working on their draft Adaptation Action Plans. Links to the plans will be provided as soon as they are published.

The East Midlands Planning to Adapt Project has produced an Adaptation Action Plan Template, to help organisations go through the steps required to produce an Adaptation Action Plan. This should be used in conjunction with the Risk Assessment Methodology.

There is, of course, more than one way to integrate adaptation into council strategies. Northamptonshire County Council is taking a different approach to embedding adaptation within council services and decision-making, and is not producing a separate Adaptation Action Plan. Instead, adaptation considerations are being integrated into new and existing strategies and plans.
