HouseTech
HouseTech have successfully been supplying simple wireless radiator controls to schools and universities for the last seven years.
When installed savings data from schools have shown a reduction in kWh used between 22 and 39% where no other energy saving products/measures have been installed. Radiators no longer have to be turned on and off manually in individual rooms. HouseHeat will do this according to time and temperatures set.
HouseHeat eliminates hot and cold spots in schools, allows individual programming of specific radiators for time and temperature so rooms such as classrooms can be turned off while admin areas can stay on longer. Classrooms can be programmed to remain at a constant 20 degrees while corridors can be programmed to 18 degrees.
Window sensors can be added which detect if a window has been left open and will turn down the radiator so the school is not heating the outside air. The HouseHeat thermostat measures temperature away from the radiator and will detect rising heat from floors below or will take into account solar gain and will adjust radiators accordingly.
HouseTech have protective covers and valve bolts to stop the system being removed or thermostats tampered with.
Clients include Oxford University, many state and private schools.
