The Peak Climate Change and Eco Festival is on this weekend in Cromford, nr Matlock, Derbyshire (1st - 4th May), with a range of distinguished speakers, scientists and thinkers appearing in a Question Time type debate and then in twos on subsequent evenings. Warm, Wet and Windy features Mayer Hillman, Fred Pearce, Mike Berners-Lee, Bob Ward, Mark Maslin and Tim Lenton. The festival is supported by the Co-operative Group and the Arkwright Society and all events take place in the evening at Gothic Wharf, Cromford.

Other contributors include local academics from Nottingham and Sheffield Universities (Dr Simon Gosling and Prof Edward Hanna), Wayne Bexton (Climate Change Officer at Derbyshire County Council) and Colin Baines (Co-operative Campaigns Manager). Talks cost £6.50, or £5 if you belong to one of the promoting organisations.
