The award winning building includes 55 first-class business units, a conference centre for up to 300 people, exhibition space, and a café. As well as cutting-edge facilities, tenants benefit from expert support and advice from on-site specialists. The building was designed for carbon dioxide emissions of only 15kg per m2 per year but has actually managed to achieve a remarkable 12.2kg per m2. The building's low carbon design features include a natural ventilation system, exhaust air heat pumps, phase change materials in the ceiling and an inflatable polymer roof in the main entrance area supporting the natural temperature regulation of the building. Funding for the project has been obtained from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the East Midlands Development Agency (emda) and the West Northamptonshire Development Corporation (WNDC). Daventry District Council and Northamptonshire County Council have donated the land for the project.
