SUSTAIN Lincolnshire EXPO 2013, 7th March

HomeEventsSUSTAIN Lincolnshire EXPO 2013, 7th March

The SUSTAIN Lincolnshire conference and exhibition returns to the Epic Centre in Lincoln on 7th March.

What are the risk management implications for Lincolnshire, of the extraordinary severe weather events we've seen over the past year? Does this mean business and local communities should be reviewing how they plan for the future? Is there sufficient policy clarity and political ambition around the green economy both nationally and globally to develop a resilience strategy or should it be led from the ‘grass roots’?

Two keynote speakers of national standing, Sir Brian Hoskins, from Imperial College London and a member of the government’s advisory Committee on Climate Change, and Mr Jonathan Grant of Pricewaterhouse Coopers, the author of “Too Late for Two Degrees”, will lead the debate on “Business resilience in a changing climate”.

'Building Business Resilience' workshop at the EXPO with Climate East Midlands

Should businesses be reviewing how they plan for the future? We would answer with an emphatic "yes"! For businesses who would like to find out more, Climate East Midlands will be offering a two-hour interactive, practical workshop to help businesses understand how to prepare for severe weather and climate change. The workshop follows on after the keynote speeches and discussion and runs from 10.30-12.30.

The event is free to attend.
