A series of 6 on-farm workshops are taking place duiring August for farmers and land managers, organised by Climate East Midlands, in association with the Farming Advisory Service and supported by the Environment Agency (Midlands). The primary focus is on good soil management on arable farms and soil scientists will be present at each event to explain the principles and demonstrate what they mean in practice using freshly dug soil pits on each farm. Additional input will be provided by the partners on the management of weather and climate risks, cross compliance and water.
These free half day events include lunch and are being repeated in the morning and afternoon at each host farm.

- Thursday 8th August, Dunnsmoor Farm, nr Swadlincote, Derbyshire
- Tuesday 13th August, Highfields Farm, nr Costock, Leicestershire
