Soil Management workshops, March 2015
Home Events Soil Management workshops, March 2015
Climate East Midlands is working with the Farming Advice Service, the Environment Agency and the NFU, to deliver more free soil management workshops for farmers in March 2015.
These workshops are intended to help farmers improve the productivity and resilience of their business in the face of severe weather events.
Each half-day workshop includes an in-field demonstration of how to assess soil structure, how to correct damage and maintain effective soil drainage. Cross compliance issues related to soils will also be covered.
Speakers include Philip Wright, of Wright Resolutions, an expert in soil management, with specialists from the Farming Advice Service, the Environment Agency, and Climate East Midlands.
A sandwich lunch will be provided.
