RE:FIT your property!
Home Events RE:FIT your property!
Bookings are already coming in for a half day workshop being hosted by Nottingham City Council at their main offices in Loxley House, near Nottingham Station on Tuesday 28th May, 10 - 1. It will introduce the RE:FIT framework, first developed in London, designed to improve the energy efficiency (and runing costs) of public sector buildings via an Energy Performance Contracting model and explain the free (but limited) support now available to help with its rollout. This is the first occasion in the East Midlands that RE:FIT and the support for it will be publically discussed.
The most attractive feature of RE:FIT is that energy savings are guaranteed by specialist contractors who will assess your building(s) and install the most cost effective measures to reduce their energy consumption. The RE:FIT framework (which is OJEU compliant) offers you a pre-selected group of specilaist contractors with whom you can undertake a mini-procurement tender. The risk of achieveing the energy savings is then transferred to the selected contractor, via an Energy Performance Contract.
Local Partnerships, a joint venture between HM Treasury and the LGA, will provide some commercial technical support to councils and other public bodies wanting to improve their buildings and reduce their carbon footprint and energy bills.

The event is free, but prior booking is essential to guarantee you a place. Early booking is recommended as interest is expected to be high and places are limited. Please contact Lois Dale at East Midlands Councils to book.
