This peer learning event will be hosted by the Climate Action Team at Leicestershire County Council, and will provide local authority officers from across the East Midlands with the opportunity to learn from their colleagues.
Leicestershire County Council's Climate Action Team will share their learning on:
- Embedding environmental management into LCC
- Significant projects for carbon emissions reduction
- Climate Ready: developing a proportionate response
- Engaging on carbon emissions outside the council
There will be plenty of opportunities for questions, interaction and networking.
A tour of Brocks Hill Visitor Centre will also be included, to learn about the sustainability features already in place and plans to develop them further.
When: Thursday 25th September 2014, 9am - 2pm (including the tour of the centre and lunch)
Where: Brocks Hill Visitor Centre, Washbrook Lane, Leicester, LE2 5JJ.
How to book
This is a free event for local authority officers in the East Midlands with responsibility for climate related policy. Delegates will be charged £50 if they book but do not turn up, without giving notice. 48 hours notice of cancellation is needed.
