HomeEventsCorby business resilience workshop, 28 Jan 2014

Following on from successful workshops in Northampton in November 2012 and Daventry in November 2013, the next business resilience workshop is planned for 28th January 2014 in Corby.

The workshop is for local businesses, and is free to attend. The focus will be on how severe weather can affect your business and how you can increase your resilience to it. We will have speakers from:

  • the Environment Agency on flood risk mapping and flood warnings
  • Northamptonshire County Council on business continuity planning
  • the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health on the health and safety implications of severe weather
  • Climate East Midlands on how weather patterns are likely to change, and how this translates into risks and opportunities for businesses.

Each workshop will include dicussion, interactive exercises, and signposting to tools and further information, so that participants leave with ideas for practical steps that they can take to make their business more resilient.

When & Where: Tuesday 28th January 2014, at Corby Enterprise Centre

The workshop will start at 9:30am and finish with a networking lunch at 12:45pm.
