Deputy City Mayor, Cllr Rory Palmer is inviting people to Leicester City Council's inaugural Low Carbon City Lecture on 5th November. Prof Dame Julia King from Aston University, member of the Committee on Climate Change and author of the King Review on Sustainable Transport will discuss 'mitigating climate change - a key role for sustainable transport'. This event also marks the first anniversary of the Low Carbon City Action Plan where Leicester's Environmental Experts Group will share the progress being made on implementation of the plan.

The event is at St Martin's House in Leicester and registration is from 5.15 with proceedings starting at 7.
