Green Economy Roundtable, 25th July

HomeEventsGreen Economy Roundtable, 25th July

Climate East Midlands and East Midlands Councils are hosting a roundtable event on 25th July in Melton Mowbray about the Green Economy. This is part of an ERDF funded project which is designed to help maximise European Union investment into the East Midlands in the next Structural Funds programme period 2014 - 2020. Future EU funding will go via Local Enterprise Partnerships but the Government is keen that LEPs should collaborate where there are opportunities that aren't restricted to one local area. The roundtable event will bring together a range of experts from different sectors to discuss the Green Economy aspects of the future programme: growing the low carbon economy, tackling climate change, protecting the environment and improving resource efficiency and improving sustainable transport.

The outputs of this event will be combined with those from an SME innovation and competetiveness roundtable and four LEP hosted events across the East Midlands to create a prospectus which will be finalised by December 2013.

This is an invite only event, but please get in touch if you would like to contribute.
