Do you want to make a difference to the water environment in your Local Authority role?
Do you know your Local Authority's responsibilities in relation to the Water Framework Directive?
Do you want relevant targeted advice on improving the water environment which has been developed by the Environment Agency and Sustainability West Midlands in partnership with Local Authorities in the Midlands?
Do you want a free printed Advice Note setting set out by LA function the actions that Local Authorities can take to improve the water environment?
If the answer to any of these questions is ‘YES’ then please come along to one of the free training events in the Midlands being run by the Environment Agency and Sustainability West Midlands.
The events are being held in:
Nottingham: Tuesday 3rd July, 10am – 1pm (registration is from 9.30am) – Nottingham City Council, Room LB 41, Loxley House, Station Street, Nottingham NG2 3NG (see attached map)
Birmingham: Wednesday 11th July, 10am – 1pm (registration from 9.30am) – MADE, 7 Newhall Square, Birmingham B3 1RU (see attached directions – please note that it is Newhall Square not Newhall Street)
Both events will be followed by a networking lunch until 2pm.
Sustainability West Midlands will also be meeting with Local Authority Chief Executives to highlight the Advice Note and promote the benefits of meeting Water Framework Directive objectives.
Who are the events for? The events are for Midlands Local Authority Officers with responsibilities in areas such as planning, development, highways, parks and estates, green infrastructure, drainage/flood risk management, environmental health, environmental protection or sustainability.
