Business resilience workshops, Jan-Mar 2014
Home Events Business resilience workshops, Jan-Mar 2014
A further round of free business resilience workshops is coming up in the New Year, in partnership with the Environment Agency and the Staffordshire Business Environment Network (SBEN). These workshops build on the success of the workshops held in 2012-13, and are aimed at companies regulated by the Environment Agency.
Benefits of attending
The workshops include speakers from
- the Environment Agency on flood risk mapping and flood warnings
- the Local Resilience Forum on business continuity planning
- the Insitution of Occupational Safety and Health on the health and safety implications of severe weather
- Climate East Midlands on the business risks and opportunities from severe weather.
Each workshop includes discussion, interactive exercises, and signposting to tools and further information, so that each participant leaves with ideas for practical steps that they can take to make their own business more resilient. In particular we will introduce the Business Resilience Health Check tool, and the Weathering the Storm guide to saving and making money in a changing climate.
