About the workshop

On 7th February 2013, Climate East Midlands is running a free half-day workshop to help businesses in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire increase their resilience to severe weather and climate change. Severe weather covered will include flooding, snow, drought and heatwaves.

What are the benefits of attending this workshop?

The workshop will include expert speakers on

  • the business impacts of severe weather, and what climate change could mean for your business
  • business continuity planning
  • flood risk mapping and flood warnings
  • the health and safety implications of severe weather and climate change.

Participants will also be given a copy of Climate East Midlands’ “Weathering the Storm” guide for businesses, which has recently been updated, and learn about the newly launched Business Resilience Award.
